The Volvo 144 was a mid-size car produced by the Swedish manufacturer Volvo from 1966 to 1974. It was the first Volvo to feature a three-point safety belt as standard and had a reputation for being a safe, reliable and sturdy vehicle. The 144 was available as a sedan, wagon and coupe, and was powered by a range of four-cylinder engines. It was succeeded by the Volvo 240 series in 1974.
