About
The Talbot Samba was a small hatchback car produced by Talbot, a French car manufacturer, from 1981 to 1986. It was available as a three-door or five-door hatchback and was powered by a range of four-cylinder engines. The Samba was based on the same platform as the Peugeot 104 and Citroen LNA and was marketed as a sporty and fun-to-drive city car. It was also sold under the Chrysler, Simca, and Peugeot brands in different markets. Despite its popularity in Europe, the Talbot brand was eventually phased out and the Samba was replaced by the Peugeot 205 in 1987.
