About
The AMC Eagle is a four-wheel drive passenger car produced by American Motors from 1980 to 1988. It was one of the first crossover vehicles, combining the comfort and handling of a passenger car with the off-road capabilities of a four-wheel drive vehicle. The Eagle was available in sedan, wagon, and coupe body styles, and was powered by a range of six-cylinder engines. Despite its innovative design, the Eagle was not a commercial success, and production ceased after just eight years.
